We’re starting to find our footing! The kids are busy with school and their activities โ Vivi is the youngest in her class, and is absolutely loving school. She barely waits for us to finish putting on her “indoor shoes” before she’s running into the classroom, hand half-waving bye over her shoulder. So independent, and she’s not even 2 years old
This week, Vivi’s class theme is “Every Living Thing Has a Story.” They created a small classroom greenhouse, cared for plants as a step toward practicing responsibility and patience, and spent plenty of time in hands-on discovery in connection with nature.
Guille’s class started with math and phonics this week, also using objects from nature to ground their lessons. He also started extracurricular activities after school – sculpture on Mondays, creative art on Tuesdays, Jiu Jitsu on Wednesdays, and theater on Thursdays. He’s very busy, and loving it!
During their schooldays, Guillermo and I are in Italian class, working, or doing our own activities around Pistoia. And after school, we all unwind with a walk through town before dinner back home.
Guille’s favorite part of the week so far: sculpture class!
