We flew into London to break up the long trip to Italy, in the hopes of calmer flights and better (time) adjusted kids before classes begin. The kids slept a whole 90min on the 11hr flight, which left a lot of time for stickers, stories, and letting everybody on the plane know what they thought about the very long flight. There were a lot of kids in our section, so the discussions were lively.
The hotel wasn’t quite ready for us, so we went on a walk to see Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. On the way, Guille pointed out the London Eye, another landmark he learned about in his Goodnight London book. The kids did amazingly well on the 2mi round-trip walk, and were excited by the new sites and sounds.
Back at the hotel the kids took baths, ate a mix of dinner and snacks, read stories, and were in bed by 6pm.
Guille’s favorite part of today: seeing the London Eye.
Vivi’s favorite part of today: riding the cab from the airport.
