Parents at the Park

Parents at the Park

We woke up to Easter church bells and a slew of WhatsApp messages from parents in our cohort planning a park outing. After pancake brunch, not enough coffee, and some inexplicable splashing in the bathroom sink, off we went with our folding stroller & skateboard attachment to a nearby park (with a cafรฉ!). Although we’d been “meeting” our cohort parents online over the past few weeks โ€“ 21 families with 46 children โ€“ it was a whole different experience to meet folks in person โ€“ and hear that nobody’s kids slept last night. What a bonding experience to be equally excited and exhausted! Thankfully the weather is appropriate for sunglasses.

The kids had fun running around in a new setting, we had fun socializing with new people, and we all came home for pasta dinner – lesson learned.

On a separate note โ€“ Guillermo may have missed his calling as an Italian-American plumber, having fixed both our washer/dryer and bathtub tonight. We’re waiting to see what the dishwasher kicks up.

Guille’s favorite part of today: playing “tractor” at the park.
Vivi’s favorite part of today: chasing pigeons.
