Quite a few parents have been craving flavors other than the delicious pasta, pizza, and traditional Tuscan food we’re surrounded by, so on Friday they organized a “Fiesta Potluck.” Guillermo made beans, which were gone in minutes, and Melissa made horchata which was a mild success (in competition with juice boxes for the kids and margaritas for the adults, it had no chance!). The kids have also been cooking a bunch as part of their school activities.
We explored more nearby parks with friends this weekend, including one that the kids had gone to on a fieldtrip earlier last week. During the fieldtrip, apparently the kids were petting and feeding the turtles. Our visit was a little less exciting, although we did get hissed at by the huge geese as we walked by. The kids were surprisingly chill, even though the geese were probably bigger than them!
Tonight, we’re taking some Japanese curry over to a friend’s house for dinner and a playdate.
